Cafes, restaurants and guesthouses line the shore at Woljeongri on Jeju's northeast coast, and the chairs some cafes set out facing the emerald water have become a photo spot of their own. The beach is shallow enough for families with small children, yet steady waves keep surfers coming back, and snorkelers and kayakers share the water too. The village name means 'where the moon stays'. Walkers pass through on Olle Route 20 and the Gimnyeong–Woljeong geo trail.
