The Tongyeong Cable Car climbs Mt. Mireuksan on a 1,975 m, Swiss-built bi-cable system. Its 47 eight-seat gondolas circulate continuously at about 4 m per second, so there's little waiting and the ride to the top station takes around 9 minutes. Only one support tower stands along the line, which keeps the ride smooth and the impact on the mountain light. Pets can ride too, since the cable car went pet-friendly.
