Booking
KKday sells a day tour from Busan that stops at Dongpirang, along with the Tongyeong Cable Car, Skyline Luge and Jungang Market.
The name Dongpirang joins "dong" (east) with "pirang", Tongyeong dialect for a steep slope. In October 2007 a local civic group, Green Tongyeong 21, invited painters from around the country to decorate the village, and the walls, steps and lanes of this seaside hill were covered in murals. There are dozens of alleys, every one with paintings, and from the top you look down over Gangguan harbor.

Tips
- The lanes climb a steep slope (it's in the name), so wear comfortable shoes; a stroller will be hard going.
- Residents live along these alleys, so keep voices down while you look at the murals.
