Surprise Theme Park, opened in May 2019, is devoted to junk art: large, detailed sculptures made from scrap and recycled materials, many of them movie superheroes and animated characters. About 500 works are spread over some 50,000 pyeong (roughly 165,000 m²), and some have been featured on the SBS TV show Sesang-e Ireon Il-i. There's also an AR/VR video hall and a walking trail through gotjawal forest.
