Klook sells a 2-day Chungju tour from Seoul and KKday a Chungju day out; both include a Suanbo hot spring foot bath.
People have come to Suanbo to bathe and rest for centuries, and local lore says its spring has flowed for 30,000 years; KTO calls it Korea's first naturally flowing hot spring. The mildly alkaline, mineral-rich water comes from about 250 m underground and is managed directly by Chungju City. Most visitors soak at the hotels and motels in the spa zone where they stay. In the middle of town, Multang Park has a low channel of spring water running through it, and Woraksan, Chungju Lake and Songgye Valley are nearby.

Tips
- The tours include a foot bath rather than a full soak; for a proper bath, stay overnight at one of the spa hotels.
- The Mireukdaewon temple site is also in Suanbo-myeon and pairs well with a spa stay.
