Booking
Klook, GetYourGuide and KKday sell day tours from Seoul that include the cable car or offer it as an option.
The cable car is the easy way into Seoraksan's high country. It leaves from inside the national park's Sogongwon area and reaches Gwongeumseong, about 700 m above sea level, in around 10 minutes, and on the way up you can pick out Ulsanbawi Rock and the Manmulsang crags through the windows. At the top are the remains of Gwongeumseong, a Goryeo-era fortress that legend says two generals named Gwon and Kim built in a single day; only its site survives. Just below sit Anrakam, a hermitage dating from Silla, and Muhaksong, a pine several centuries old.
