At a glance

Opened in 2016, the hall shares the records of Korea's presidents, from documents of their terms in office to how policies were decided and major state events. The building is a cube modeled on the case that holds the national seal, and the route starts on the first floor, goes up to the fourth and works back down. Highlights include a presidential state car used from 1992 to 2009, a large artwork of past presidents' faces built from keywords in their inaugural speeches, and a third-floor recreation of the Cheong Wa Dae office, reception room and Chunchugwan briefing room, where you can sit in the president's chair or pose at the podium. A hands-on children's hall in the basement, for ages 5 to 13, works by reservation.
