National Sejong Arboretum국립세종수목원

At a glance

Opened in October 2020 beside the Government Complex Sejong, this was the second arboretum in the national network after the Baekdudaegan National Arboretum, and KTO calls it Korea's first urban national arboretum. Its 26 themed gardens fall into three areas: display gardens such as a Korean traditional garden, bonsai, wildflower, maple and iris gardens; learning gardens including a four-season exhibition garden, rare and native plants, a healing garden and a mugunghwa (rose of Sharon) garden; and community spaces such as a children's garden and a festival yard. Something is in season all year, so it works as a stop in any month.
