KKday sells a two-day tour from Seoul that includes Muwol Village, Juknokwon bamboo forest, a café and Namwon.
Muwol is a small farming village of clear streams and eco-friendly crops in Daedeok-myeon. Walk its stone-walled lanes and the path through the pine woods, then climb to the Moonlight Observatory for a view of the surrounding countryside. The village runs a long list of programs: seasonal farm work, tea making, scarecrow building, stacking stone towers, floating wish candles on the pond, nongak farmers' music, clay figures, mother-of-pearl craft, pressed-flower bookmarks and copying out poems by Yun Dong-ju. You can also tour the paddy paths and back lanes on a tractor ride, browse the alley gallery, and stay overnight in one of about 20 shared or private hanok.
