Booking

No booking needed to visit. KKday sells a seasonal autumn day tour from Busan and a two-day tour from Seoul that include Juknokwon.

Juknokwon is a bamboo forest that Damyang County opened in May 2003 on Seongansan hill, beside the Damyangcheon stream and the riverside woods of Gwanbangjerim. Stone steps lead from the entrance up into dense bamboo, and 2.2 km of paths wind through it on eight themes, such as the Philosopher's Path. They start from an observation deck that looks over the stream, Gwanbangjerim's trees of more than 300 years and the Metasequoia-lined road. Bamboo dew tea (jungno-cha) grows wild in the grove, and there's also an eco exhibition hall, a pond, an artificial waterfall and an outdoor stage.
