Picture Korea as a tiger and Homigot is the tip of its tail: the peninsula's eastern point, known as one of the first places in the country to see the sunrise. The square is built for that moment, with the Hands of Harmony, a giant bronze pair with a left hand on land and a right hand out in the sea, beside an eternal-flame urn and statues of Yeono-rang and Seo-nyeo from a Samguk Yusa legend. A sunrise festival is held here every year.
