KTO says regular train visits stopped because of COVID-19 and tension between the two Koreas: Gyeongui–Jungang Line trains now end one stop short, at Imjingang Station. Visits run as DMZ tours (up to 300 people per session), and you need ID to enter the civilian control zone. Station: 031-953-3334; Korail customer center: 1544-7788.

Booking
Trip.com sells a small-group DMZ tour from Seoul that stops at Dorasan Station, Dora Observatory and the Third Tunnel.
Dorasan Station grew out of the plan to restore the Gyeongui Line, the railway between Seoul and Sinuiju, agreed after the 2000 inter-Korean summit. It opened in February 2002, once 4 km of track to Imjingang Station to the south was finished, and began regular service on April 11 that year. Because it stands in a military zone, the roof was built lower than first designed, and the south side was left without windows in case the station were ever seized by troops from the North. Presidents Kim Dae-jung and George W. Bush have visited, and the name 'Dora' is said to recall Silla's last king, Gyeongsun, weeping on this hill for his lost capital.
