For about 50 years after the Korean War armistice, Camp Greaves was home to the US 2nd Infantry Division's 506th Infantry Battalion. The troops left in 2004 and the base was handed back to Korea in August 2007. Its officers' quarters, barracks and gym were kept as modern heritage, and the camp reopened as a peace and security experience center just 2 km from the DMZ's southern boundary. One officers' block is now the first youth hostel inside Paju's civilian control zone, with room for up to 240 guests, and NCT Dream shot the cover photos for their first full album, 'Hot Sauce', here.
