Closed
Open all year, but it may close early or shut without notice for weather or other safety reasons; the website posts closure notices.
Admission
Round trip: standard cabin KRW 24,000 adults, KRW 18,000 children; crystal cabin KRW 28,000 adults, KRW 22,000 children. Adults are middle-school age and up; children are 36 months through elementary school. Quick Pass (no waiting) options cost more. The website also lists discounts, such as for online booking made before the day of the visit.
Booking
Klook, GetYourGuide and KKday sell day tours from Seoul that include the cable car, combined with Nami Island, Alpaca World, a rail bike or Legoland Korea; KKday's version is an autumn tour.
Choose a crystal cabin and you can watch Uiam Lake slide by under your feet through the glass floor. The line runs 3.61 km from Samcheon-dong, crossing the lake to Samaksan, with cabins from Austria's Doppelmayr and a design modeled on a bow and a boomerang. At the mountain station a glass-walled cafe looks over Chuncheon, and a 10-minute walk along a trail leads to a skywalk lookout. The lakeside station has restaurants, a convenience store, a cafe, a souvenir shop and a photo studio. Girl group IVE rode it on a variety show.
