Booking

A private local-guide tour from Andong and a day trip from Seoul that include the bridge are sold on GetYourGuide and KKday.

The bridge takes its name from Woryeongdae, a landmark moved here when a dam flooded its original site, and from local place names. It was built to remember Yi Eung-tae and his wife: when he died, she made him a pair of mituri, traditional hemp sandals, woven with her own hair, and the bridge's outline echoes that pair. Hills and the dam enclose the river here, and when the bridge is lit at night it becomes a favorite moonlight walk; you can also see it from the water on a moon boat.
