Taejongdae is a headland at the southern end of Yeongdo, famous for its strange rock formations, thick forest and cliffs dropping into the sea. A 4.3 km loop road runs around it with trails and coastal paths branching off. The Danubi road train circles the loop from the main gate in about 20 minutes, and you can hop off at the observatory, Yeongdo Lighthouse and Taejongsa Temple.

Tips
- Don't plan a Danubi ride on a Monday, its regular day off; walking the loop is still possible.
- The train runs one way around the loop, so use it to hop between the observatory, the lighthouse and Taejongsa rather than walking the whole road.
