Klook sells a Buyeo Baekje day tour that ends at Gungnamji Pond.
Gungnamji simply means 'the pond south of the palace.' The Samguk Sagi records that Baekje's King Mu had it dug, and the Samguk Yusa adds a legend that his mother conceived him with the dragon of the pond. An island in the middle reflects the Taoist dream of an isle of immortals, and old wells and foundation stones survive around it. Baekje's garden-making skills even reached Japan, carried there, it is said, by a Baekje craftsman named Nojagong. Today the pond sits in a big park of lotus fields and paths that is easy to explore on foot or by bicycle.
