When Mungyeong's coal mines declined, the rails that once carried coal were turned into a pedal-cart ride, which KTO describes as Korea's first rail bike. You roll slowly along the Yeonggang River past Jinnam Gyoban, ranked first among Mungyeong's eight scenic views, with the mountains all around. There are three routes, each an out-and-back taking about 50 minutes to an hour, and carts seat two or four. The drama Queen of Tears filmed a date scene here, and Gurangri Station, built to look like a fortress gate, still looks as it did on screen.
