Mungyeong was known for its buncheong ware and white porcelain kilns in the early Joseon period, and this museum tells that story. Its three floors take you from earthenware, celadon and white porcelain to modern and contemporary ceramics, and behind the building stand a mangdaengi kiln, Mungyeong's traditional type, and outdoor workshops. The city is home to a sagijang, a potter recognized as a holder of National Intangible Cultural Heritage, and three government-certified master potters.
