Booking

KKday, GetYourGuide and Klook each sell a Boryeong day tour from Seoul that includes a Sky Bike ride.

The Sky Bike runs on a raised rail over the water, leaving from Daecheon Beach, turning at Daecheon Port and coming back, about 2.3 km in all. You pedal the flat parts while the sloped sections run automatically, so it's easy going for children and older riders alike. Each bike takes two to four people, and infants can ride with a guardian. KTO and the operator both bill it as Korea's first rail bike over the sea.

Tips

  • Ride at high tide, when the rails run over open water instead of sand.
  • Tickets are sold on the official ticket site (home-ticket.co.kr), which also shows how many bikes are left on site.
  • The Daecheon zip line starts right next door, inside Daecheon Tower.
