Booking
KKday, Klook and GetYourGuide sell winter day tours from Seoul to the Cheongyang ice festival here; they run in festival season only.
Alps Village lies in Cheonjang-ri, on the slopes below the summit of Chilgapsan, a mountain nicknamed the 'Alps of South Chungcheong' for its scenery. It is a rural experience village with a Chilgapsan hiking trail, the Cheonjangho Suspension Bridge over the lake next door, a hands-on farm and a center for city–countryside exchange. Its big event is the winter Ice Fountain Festival, with snow and ice sculptures, all kinds of sleds and an ice bobsled run. The rest of the year there are activities such as a zip line and gourd crafts.
