Booking
Klook, KKday and GetYourGuide sell day tours from Seoul that ride the cable car, combined with Uirimji and a lake cruise, Seokjongsa Temple, or Hwarok Cave and Oksunbong Suspension Bridge.
Opened in March 2019, the cable car lifts you from Multae-ri on the shore of Cheongpung Lake to the top of Bibongsan in about 10 minutes, over a 2.3 km line. The 531 m peak rises from the middle of the lake, so the summit looks out over ridges poking up from the water in every direction, a view often likened to a sea full of islands. KTO says it was the first cable car in Korea to run all the way to a mountain summit, which makes the view easy to reach for children and older travelers. The mountain's name refers to a phoenix taking flight.
