More than 210 mounds crowd a gentle ridge at the southern foot of Palgongsan. Thought to date from around the 5th century and to belong to the local ruling elite, they have yielded gold and gilt-bronze ornaments, iron weapons and patterned pottery; most are 15–20 m across and 4–7 m high. The easy slopes suit children, and the ridge looks out over Daegu.
