GetYourGuide sells a small-group day tour from Busan that stops at Yeongnamru along with a rail bike ride and a wine cave.
Yeongnamru stands on Adongsan hill above the river in Miryang and, with Chokseongnu in Jinju and Bubyeongnu in Pyongyang, is counted as one of Korea's three great pavilions. It began as a small pavilion of Yeongnamsa, a Silla temple, and was rebuilt on a larger scale in the Goryeo era under King Gongmin; the present building dates from 1884. The two-story main hall, five bays by four under a hipped-and-gabled roof, is flanked by two smaller wing pavilions, and a stepped passage links it to Chimnyugak. Inside hang calligraphy boards by noted writers of their day, and in 1931 the view was chosen as one of the 16 great scenes of Korea.
