Booking
GetYourGuide sells a private full-day Ulsan tour from Busan that spends about an hour in the Simnidaebat bamboo forest.
Taehwagang National Garden stretches along the clean Taehwagang River through Ulsan's Jung-gu and Nam-gu, covering about 84 hectares of riverbank. It's laid out in six areas: ecology, bamboo, seasonal, water plants, participation and mugunghwa (Korea's national flower). The highlight is the Simnidaebat bamboo forest, loved for its quiet paths and the sound of wind in the bamboo, and in autumn the garden's trees turn red and yellow. Gardening programs run for young children and families.
