Suncheon Bay is a large bay on Korea's south coast, ringed by Suncheon, Goheung and Yeosu. Its sea area alone covers more than 75 km², with about 22.6 km² of tidal flats, some 12 km² of which are uncovered at low tide. Where the Dongcheon and Isacheon streams meet the bay, a reed field of about 5.4 km² spreads in front of the flats. At the wetland reserve you can explore the reed beds and mudflats, watch the bay's birds and join an evening starlight program at the observatory.
