Booking

Klook sells a half-day tour with hotel pickup that pairs Odusan with Imjingak, and GetYourGuide sells private tours from Seoul that include it.

Odusan Unification Observatory opened on September 8, 1992, on top of a hill that the ancient kingdoms of Goguryeo and Baekje once fought over. It was built to ease the longing of families separated by the division and as a place to learn about unification. From the top you watch the Han River, coming from the south, meet the Imjin from the north and flow on toward the West Sea, with the hills and villages of North Korea's Hwanghae Province, and the people who live there, in plain view across the water. Exhibition halls inside cover the government's unification policy, past efforts toward it and life in the North, and more than 20 million people have visited since it opened.
