Namhae German Village남해독일마을

At a glance

In the 1960s and '70s Korean miners and nurses were sent to work in Germany, and Namhae German Village was created so that some of them could settle back home and to honor their story. Its German-style houses with red roofs and colorful walls step down the hill, giving the slope a European look. Some houses take in guests, and the cafes and restaurants serve German sausages and beer.
