Museom, 'island on the water', is a hanok village of about 40 households, with some 30 late-Joseon gentry houses, 16 of them more than a century old. Until about 30 years ago its only link to the outside was a single-log bridge, which is still the village's emblem and gives its name to a village festival. A few old houses, among them the Kim Uk and Kim Tae-gil houses, take overnight guests.
