Mona Yongpyong Ski Resort모나용평 스키장

Yongpyong opened with modern facilities in 1975 and played a leading role in making skiing popular in Korea, earning the nickname 'the mecca of Korean skiing'. It sits on the flanks of 1,458 m Balwangsan, on a plateau between about 700 and 1,500 m in the heart of the Baekdudaegan range. With around 250 cm of snow in an average year, the season usually runs from mid-November to early April. Its Rainbow slope hosted alpine skiing events at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
