The Balwangsan cable car runs 7.4 km (counting the round trip) from Yongpyong Resort to the top of Balwangsan and is billed as the longest cable car in Korea. You board on the second floor of Dragon Plaza, and the eight-seat cabins (100 in all) take about 18 minutes to reach Dragon Castle at the 1,458 m summit, giving you the feeling of flying over the mountain. Tickets sold online pair the ride with the Balwangsan Ki Skywalk at the top. The cable car doesn't run in strong wind or other unsafe weather, so check before you go.
