The Korean Folk Village opened on October 3, 1974, to bring the customs and everyday life of old Korea together in one place and show them to local and foreign visitors. Set in natural surroundings, it lets you try things for yourself, from horseback riding and natural dyeing to traditional daily-life activities. Seasonal festivals give tradition a playful twist with themes such as 'Welcome to Joseon' and the street games of the past, and from Friday to Sunday the village stays open into the evening.
