Booking

KKday sells three Busan day tours that stop here, combined with places such as Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, Cheongsapo and Gwangalli Beach.

The 'Jukseong Church' isn't a working church: it was built in 2009 as a set for the SBS drama Dream, on a rocky point beside the small fishing village of Jukseong-ri. Few people remember the show, but the red roof above waves breaking white on the rocks has made the spot a fixture of trips to Gijang. The interior is run as a gallery, so you may catch an exhibition, and the longest queue is for a frame-shaped photo spot that puts the sea and sky inside the picture.

Tips

  • Expect to wait your turn at the frame photo spot, the most popular shot here.
  • Exhibitions inside the gallery come and go, so treat one as a bonus rather than a reason to visit.
