Booking

Klook, GetYourGuide and KKday sell winter day tours from Seoul that stop at Eobi Ice Valley before a ski resort (Konjiam, Elysian Gangchon or Vivaldi Park) or Begonia Bird Garden.

Eobi Valley follows a stream around Eobisan, a mountain tucked between Yongmunsan and Yumyeongsan. The name means 'flying fish', from the days when fish in the stream were said to be so plentiful they seemed to fly. Under a Gyeonggi clean-valley program, the restaurant tables that used to crowd the banks were cleared so anyone can use the water, and a deck path, fountains that run in peak season and night lighting were added. In winter it becomes the Eobi Ice Valley that ski day tours from Seoul stop at.

Tips

  • Keep out of the stream after heavy rain, when the water can rise quickly.
  • The ice walls are a winter sight, so the ice-valley tours only run in the winter season; check each tour's dates before booking.
