Goryeong was the capital of Daegaya, a central state of the Gaya confederation until Silla absorbed it in 562, known for its ironwork, its own foreign trade and the gayageum zither. The theme park retells that story with a video hall, an artifact and hands-on hall about the 'mysterious kingdom' of Daegaya, and a forest trail. Gaya-era relics and sites still turn up across the county.
