Booking

KKday sells a day tour from Seoul that stops at the spring and Chojeong Haenggung, along with Cheongnamdae and Unbo's House.

Cold, naturally carbonated water rises here from limestone about 100 m underground, around 8,500 liters a day, and the spring has been known for some 600 years. King Sejong is recorded as staying for 60 days at Chojeong to treat an eye ailment, and Chojeong Haenggung, a royal travel residence, and Chojeong Culture Park are close by. The spring area has taps where you can drink the water or fill a bottle, plus a foot bath outside the winter months, and two local plants bottle drinks made from the water.
