Bonte means 'original form', and the museum was set up to look again at culture in its essential shape. Its building is by Pritzker Prize winner Tadao Ando, whose trademark bare concrete works here with water and light, and it is divided into two spaces: one for traditional Korean crafts and one for modern art. The art collection includes pieces by Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Yayoi Kusama and Nam June Paik.
