Inkigayo — SBS’s Sunday music show

Inkigayo is SBS’s weekly Sunday music show; its 1,000th episode aired on April 28, 2019. The official page lists Sundays at 3:20 p.m. Korea time, but start times change often and some weeks are skipped — SBS announced no show on Sept. 27 and Oct. 18, 2026. Check the weekly lineup posts on the official board before tuning in.

SBS’s chart rules, in effect since the Oct. 6, 2024 episode: digital music 50%, social media 20%, album 10%, ON AIR 10%, pre-vote 5% and real-time vote 5%. Since that change the digital score also counts global music platforms, not just Korean services.

Data run from the Monday two weeks before the show to the Monday before it, and each artist can chart with up to two songs. OSTs, songs from TV programs such as auditions or variety shows, and songs SBS rules unfit to air are left out. A song that wins three times enters the Inkigayo Chart “Hall of Fame” and leaves the chart.

Watch it on SBS; stages and behind-the-scenes clips go up on SBS’s K-pop YouTube channel, SBSKPOP X INKIGAYO. SBS’s audience guide says you apply through the “방청신청” (audience application) banner and check your entries under “My.” If you’re picked, you get a push notification, and at the door you show the ticket from the ticket button at the bottom of the SBS play app.
