Official K-pop light sticks: where to buy and how to pair
Counterfeit light sticks exist, and SEVENTEEN warns they can't link to the concert light show. Here's where to buy genuine sticks for BTS, SEVENTEEN, BLACKPINK, aespa, ATEEZ and more, and how to pair yours with the concert app.

The short answer
Buy a light stick from the artist's official store, or from an Amazon listing that Amazon.com itself ships and sells. Weverse Shop sells the sticks for BTS, SEVENTEEN, LE SSERAFIM and TWS. YG SELECT carries BLACKPINK's, and SMTOWN &STORE carries aespa's. When we searched Amazon in October 2026 for 18 groups' official light sticks, ATEEZ's Ver.2 was the only one shipped and sold by Amazon.com. The rest were sold by third-party shops.
If you're buying for a concert, check the version before anything else. A stick that looks right can still be too old for the tour's wireless light show.

1Best for U.S. buyers: shipped and sold by Amazon.com
ATEEZ Official Light Stick Ver.2
This listing is shipped and sold by Amazon.com itself, not a third-party shop, and shows a 30-day refund or replacement window. Amazon lists it as official merch from ATEEZ's Towards the Light: Will to Power tour collection, with four light modes and a top that opens so you can customize it. The box holds the stick, a strap and a manual; batteries aren't included.

2Best when your group's official store doesn't ship to you
Official light sticks on Amazon (search — check the seller)
Amazon carries official light sticks for many groups, but most listings come from third-party sellers rather than the agency. Search for your group's stick, and buy only when the listing names the official version and the seller says it is an official or authorized distributor. Counterfeit sticks may not connect to a concert's central light control.
Avoiding fakes: check who is selling
Counterfeit light sticks are a real problem. For its 2023 Bangkok concerts, SEVENTEEN warned that counterfeit or imitation VER.3 sticks cannot link with central concert control, so a fake won't join the synchronized light show.
On Amazon, 'Official' in a title doesn't tell you who is selling. Look next to the Add to Cart button for the shipper and the seller. Many light stick listings are sold by third-party K-pop shops, and some add 'extra photocards' to the official contents. If the seller isn't Amazon.com, the agency or an official store, buy from the official store instead.
- Check the shipper and seller on Amazon before you add a stick to your cart.
- Compare the box contents with the official store page, such as the seven instant photos in the BTS Ver.4 set.
- Expect purchase limits: the Weverse Shop pages we checked allow one or two per account or order.
Pairing your stick with the concert app
New official sticks connect to a phone app over Bluetooth. At shows that use it, the light patterns are linked to the stage, so the whole crowd changes color with the music.
HYBE's BTS Official Light Stick Ver.4 app explains the steps. With the stick off, hold both handle buttons for two seconds until it blinks blue, then connect it from your phone. The app's Concert Mode lists upcoming shows and says whether each one needs pairing. If it doesn't, switch the stick on before the show starts and it lights up on its own. If it does, register that concert in Concert Mode and pair. The SEVENTEEN LIGHT STICK VER3 app uses the same two-second button press, and SEVENTEEN's tour notice says app pairing opens about one or two days before each concert.
Some apps also ask for your seat. The IVE OFFICIAL LIGHT STICK app tells you to enter the seat on your ticket and stay in it, because moving to another seat can change how your stick lights up.
- Update the firmware at home. SEVENTEEN's [NEW_] tour notice lists version 1.7 for VER.3 and 1.7.1 for the 10th Anniv. model.
- Pair before you head to the venue. HYBE and SEVENTEEN both warn that concert-day crowds can delay or block updates and pairing.
- If your phone won't connect, turn on location. The IVE app says some phones need GPS on for Bluetooth to work.
- Swapping batteries doesn't undo pairing, according to the BTS and SEVENTEEN guides.
Check the version before a tour
Agencies sometimes drop support for older sticks. SEVENTEEN said VER.2 and VER.3 both worked with wireless stage control through its Tokyo shows on Sept 6 and 7, 2023, and that only VER.3 would work from Sept 8, 2023. For the [NEW_] world tour, it says VER.1 and VER.2 don't support the light stick effects at all.
Before you buy for a show, read the tour's light stick notice on Weverse or the agency's site. It tells you which versions work, which app to use and when pairing opens.
Order early, too. Weverse Shop marks its light sticks as shipped from Korea, and YG SELECT says international delivery takes 15 to 20 days. Leave time to add batteries, update the firmware and pair before you travel to the show.
Batteries and care
None of the sticks in our picks come with batteries. The BTS, SEVENTEEN, LE SSERAFIM, TWS and BLACKPINK pages all call for three AAA batteries. Put in new alkaline ones before a concert: HYBE and SEVENTEEN both warn that old batteries can make the light fade or flash other colors and then turn off, so bring spares.
Run times differ. Weverse Shop lists about three hours for the LE SSERAFIM and TWS sticks and about 2.5 hours in normal mode for SEVENTEEN's 10th Anniv. stick, while YG SELECT lists about five hours for BLACKPINK's Special Edition. Take the batteries out when you put the stick away, as SMTOWN &STORE advises.
FAQ
How do I know if a K-pop light stick is official?
Buy it from the artist's official store, or on Amazon make sure the listing is shipped and sold by Amazon.com, the agency or an official brand store. Compare the contents with the official store page. SEVENTEEN has warned that counterfeit sticks cannot link with central concert control.
Do I need the app to use my light stick at a concert?
Not always. HYBE's BTS Ver.4 app shows whether each concert needs pairing. If it doesn't, the stick lights up on its own when you switch it on before the show. If it does, pair it in the app's Concert Mode before you reach the venue.
When should I pair my light stick?
Before concert day if you can. SEVENTEEN says app pairing opens about one or two days before each show, and HYBE warns that crowds at the venue can delay or stop pairing and firmware updates.
Can I use an older light stick version at a concert?
It depends on the tour. For SEVENTEEN's [NEW_] world tour, only VER.3 and VER.3 10th Anniv. support the light effects, and VER.1 and VER.2 don't. Check the tour's light stick notice before you go.
Are batteries included with official light sticks?
Not with any of the sticks in this guide. Most take three AAA batteries, and the official guides recommend fresh alkaline ones on concert day, with spares in your bag.
