BOYNEXTDOOR — ‘ANIMAL’

BOYNEXTDOOR is a six-member boy group from KOZ Entertainment (HYBE). ‘ANIMAL’ leads ‘HOME: DELUXE’, released September 28, 2026 at 6 p.m. Korea time, which adds new songs like ‘CLICHE’, ‘Boom Boom Boom’ and the fan song ‘400 Years’ to their first full album. The song is about pushing past your limits toward a better tomorrow, compared to the bold way animals move.

‘HOME: DELUXE’ sold 700,028 copies in its first week on Hanteo and topped Hanteo’s weekly album chart for September 28–October 4; in Japan it opened at No. 1 on Oricon’s daily album chart. ‘ANIMAL’ passed 1 million Spotify streams by October 3, and on October 8 it beat SOYEON’s ‘I’m gonna TOESA’ on Mnet’s M Countdown with 6,453 points — its first music-show trophy.

What to notice: member RIWOO helped make the choreography — his first choreography credit — and kept the chorus loose and easy to copy, playing with animal-like moves. Listen for JAEHYUN’s ultra-low parts and the chorus ad-libs, which came from the members’ back-and-forth with live audiences.
