What it is

Love on the Menu is a KBS2 weekend drama that began on July 25, 2026. KBS calls it a 'family recipe drama' about two people who gather the pieces of broken families and set the warmest table in the world. Restaurant owner-chef Kim Mu-jin (Ha Seok-jin) and Han Gyu-rim (Ahn Hee-yeon, known as EXID's Hani), who works at a banchan (side dish) shop, broke up painfully after his family opposed them. Eight years later they meet again at a police station, where a boy named Han Gyeol calls her 'Mom.'

It's directed by Hong Seok-gu and written by Lee Kyung-hee.

Why it's trending

In Nielsen Korea's weekly Seoul-area figures for September 28–October 4, it was the top terrestrial program at 13.13%. On October 11, episode 21 rose to 16.3% nationwide, up from 14.7% the day before, and was the most-watched program of any kind that Sunday. It has already passed the 15.3% finale of the drama before it in the same slot.

Where to watch

In Korea it airs on KBS2 every Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m. KST. Outside Korea, Soompi points viewers to Rakuten Viki for English subtitles, though availability depends on your country. We couldn't confirm a Netflix release.

Good to know: KBS2 weekend dramas are long family stories that all ages watch together, so parents and siblings matter as much as the couple. Food is part of the story too, with Mu-jin a chef and Gyu-rim working at a banchan shop.
