What it's about

After a setback in her Seoul career, dentist Yoon Hye-jin visits the seaside village of Gongjin on her late mother's birthday. Stranded there without cash, she decides to open a clinic in a town where everyone knows everyone's business. She keeps running into Hong Du-sik, the 'Chief Hong' who can fix anything.

It's a remake of the 2004 film Mr. Handy, Mr. Hong, written by Shin Ha-eun and directed by Yoo Je-won.

Why people love it

The finale scored 12.7% nationwide (Nielsen Korea), the show's best, and it stayed No. 1 in its time slot.

Viewers call it a 'healing' drama: sea views, a nosy but kind village and a slow, sweet romance.

Where to watch & good to know

Gongjin is really Pohang on Korea's east coast. Cheongha's five-day market played Gongjin Market, with signboards marking filming spots, and nearby Wolpo Beach is Gongjin's beach. It's about 2 hours 20 minutes from Seoul Station to Pohang by KTX; go on a market day (dates ending in 1 or 6).
