What it is
100 Days of Deception is tvN's 20th-anniversary special, a 16-episode spy romance that began on October 10, 2026. In 1932 Gyeongseong, Lee Ga-kyung (Kim You-jung), the city's best pickpocket, becomes a spy for an independence group and slips into the Japanese Government-General as a trainee interpreter, with 100 days to finish her mission. There she meets Sato Hideo, an elite interpreter who is also Kim Tae-woong (Park Jinyoung).
Kim Hyun-joo, Lee Moo-saeng and Jin Seon-kyu co-star. It's directed by Yoo In-shik (Extraordinary Attorney Woo) and Kim Yun-jin, and written by Ryu Bo-ri (Do You Like Brahms?).
Why it's trending
Episode 1 drew 5.3% (Nielsen Korea, paid-platform nationwide households), the best premiere of any tvN weekend drama in 2026. Episode 2 rose to 7.6% and was No. 1 in its time slot across cable and general channels. For October 5–11 it was No. 3 in FUNdex's drama buzz ranking, No. 6 on Netflix's South Korea TV Top 10, and No. 4 among dramas on TVING.
Where to watch
In Korea it airs on tvN every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 p.m. KST and streams on TVING and Netflix. Outside Korea, look for it on Netflix, though availability can differ by country.
Good to know: Gyeongseong was Seoul's official name under Japanese colonial rule (1910–1945). Park Jinyoung's character goes by two names, Sato Hideo and Kim Tae-woong, so keep both in mind.
