Yeomiji, whose name means 'beautiful land', opened in the Jungmun Resort in 1989. A large greenhouse sits at its center and holds about 1,300 of the garden's roughly 2,300 species in themed rooms: a volcanic-rock 'mystery garden', flowers, water plants, cacti (with a baobab tree), tropical plants and a tropical orchard. Outside, palms and other trees surround Korean, Japanese, Italian and French-style gardens. From the 38 m observation tower you can see the Jungmun area, Cheonjeyeon Falls, Hallasan and the coastline, and on clear days as far as Marado.
