Sorae Wetland Ecological Park소래습지생태공원

At a glance

Sorae used to be a landscape of tidal flats, winding tidal creeks and salt pans. When salt-making stopped, the area was restored as habitat for wetland life and a stopover for migratory birds, and the park was completed in May 2009. It covers about 3.5 million m², with trails through wide reed beds, windmills and rest areas. An exhibition hall shows the old sea-salt works and their records, and a nature learning area lets you try making salt yourself and look for the creatures that live in the marsh.
