Booking

Klook and KKday sell southeast Jeju day tours that combine Seopjikoji with Udo and Seongsan Ilchulbong.

Seopjikoji is a headland that juts into the sea from Sinyang-ri in Seongsan-eup; 'koji' is the Jeju word for a cape. On its broad, flat top stands Hyeopja Yeondae, a stone beacon platform about 4 m high and 9 m square where signal fires were once lit, still close to its original form. Beyond it rises Bulgeun Oreum, a small hill of red volcanic scoria (songi in Jeju dialect) topped by a white lighthouse; iron stairs lead up for a close view of the coast. In spring, canola flowers add bright yellow to the scene.
