Booking

Klook sells a day tour that combines Gyeongbokgung, the Cheong Wa Dae area and Namsangol Hanok Village.

Namsangol Hanok Village opened in 1998 on the north side of Namsan, on 79,934 m² that once belonged to the Capital Defense Command. Five hanok from different parts of Seoul were relocated here, from the house of master carpenter Yi Seung-eop to the memorial hall of the nobleman Yun Taek-yeong; four were moved with their original timbers, and only the Yun family house from Ogin-dong, too worn to move, was rebuilt with new materials. Around them are a traditional garden with Cheonghakji pond and Cheonugak pavilion, the Seoul Namsan Gugakdang concert hall and the Seoul Millennium Time Capsule, buried in 1994 for Seoul's 600th anniversary. Visitors can try on hanbok, fold hanji paper or play folk games, and heritage interpreters are on hand.
