Heosimcheong opened in October 1991 in Dongnae, Busan's old hot-spring quarter. Its bathing hall covers about 4,300 m² and holds up to 3,000 people at once, and KTO bills it as the largest hot-spring facility in East Asia. There are some 40 baths — among them a cave bath, a celadon bath and an open-air pool — plus a seasonal 'event' bath that changes its herbs and natural ingredients, all under a ceiling that lets in daylight. A jjimjil sauna area and lounges are on a separate floor.
