Booking

Klook sells a day tour from Gwangju to the Gangjin and Boseong tea plantations.

This tea field of about 33 hectares, run by the tea company Taepyeongyang Dawon, stretches along the foot of Wolchulsan, whose rock peaks stand behind the bushes like a folding screen. Tea has been grown around the mountain's temples since long ago, and the scholar Jeong Yak-yong (Dasan) rated Wolchulsan tea the second finest anywhere. Visitors come for photos and the scent of the tea, and can also try picking leaves; the view of the fields in winter has its own fans.
