What it is

The Korea Tourism Organization released this 96-second film on July 30, 2020, together with Busan and Jeonju versions. It pairs LEENALCHI, a band that turns traditional pansori into pop, with the contemporary dancers of Ambiguous Dance Company. In Seoul they dance in front of Deoksugung Palace, Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), the Leeum museum, Jahamun Tunnel and Cheong Wa Dae.

Why people are still watching

It came out in the summer of 2020, when the pandemic had stopped travel, with a simple message: “We are looking forward to seeing you soon!” The series became a hit, and LEENALCHI and Ambiguous Dance Company’s unusual collaboration spread all over the internet. The Seoul film alone has passed 54 million views.
